| | | ADRIAN BURT is proud of being a fourth generation menswear retailer. His great grandfather; Harry Trevethan Burt, trained at Kendal and Milne (Kendal’s) in Manchester before opening his own 'Hatters & Hosiers'. "I have been in the family business now for over twenty years, and I still find selling menswear an exciting, rewarding experience". Founded more than one hundred years ago, in 1895, H T Burt continues to be a family-run business. For several years now Adrian's wife Eileen has enjoyed taking a more active role. "We have four lovely children who keep us very busy, but I enjoy working with Adrian and helping in various aspects of the business."
Our family philosophy is to always look forward and we know that we cannot rely on our heritage to compete in todays market. That's why we keep up-to-date with what's happening in the lives of the modern man. " Hugo Boss have a classic designs which look good and wear well, also Eterna has always been a best seller," says Gordon Buchan, a long time mens wear specialist. "It is good to wear, has a generous cut, washes well and is non-iron."

John Smedley offers a superb range of classic knits which are firm favourites and we stock Lacoste, Aquascutum, Crew and Hackett to give a wide choice for all tastes.
