The H T Burt staff brace themselves before Mary Portas gives them the showdown!!!

She is actually a very nice lady, although Gordon did nickname her 'Scary Mary'. She spoke a lot of sense. Sometimes you are too wrapped up in the business to view it critically. We had become exactly what we didn't want to become and we needed the shake-up. Now we have more passion for retailing and can offer fantastic classic men's clothing in a sophisticated environment but still have the caring, experienced staff.
